Danish company to invest €50m in new Lithuanian plant

The company will employ 300 people at the new facility in Marijampole free economic zone over the next three years with the possibility of that rising to 1,000 employees.

It represents one of the largest foreign investments in Lithuania in the last 20 years and the total investment by the company could rise to over €100 million.

Dovista belongs to the Danish VKR Holding, which employs more than 13,500 employees in 40 countries. This holding company is owned by Velux Group.

“This is the breakthrough manufacturing investment we have sought for years, and Scandinavian manufacturing giant Dovista Group’s decision to build a production complex in Lithuania is a good sign. With the scale of this investment, you immediately begin to form a strong cluster in the future likely to attract a similar calibre of investors “, said Mantas Katinas, chief executive of Invest Lithuania.
