
Rita Grumadaitė, spokeswoman for the culture minister, has told BNS that the ministry expects the repeated selection process to be over by Feb. 13.
According to her, the preliminary number of applicants will be known on Thursday evening, but applications may still be sent by registered post.
The first attempt to find a new director general failed as the applicants did not meet the minimum requirements.
Sigitas Žutautas, a financial manager, was appointed as acting head of LNOBT after Gintautas Kėvišas was last June fired from the job of director general, which he had held for 15 years, for placing himself in conflict of interest situations.
