According to the data of Statistics Lithuania, a total of 22,000 new marriages and 9,800 divorces were registered in 2014. The number of marriages per thousand people was at 7.5, whereas the number of divorces per thousand people was at 3.4. There were 44.6 divorces per 100 marriages in 2014.
