The festival will also include A Gentle Creature, a film by director Sergei Loznitsa that unites five countries, including Lithuania, in the joint project.
Frost by Bartas, one of Lithuania’s most prominent directors, has been shortlisted for the festival’s program Director’s Fortnight. The festival will demonstrate its world premiere.
Frost tells the story of Rokas, a young Lithuanian man who wanted to understand war in order to understand his people. On a convoy transporting humanitarian aid from Lithuania to the Ukraine, he meets a couple of reporters, a Man and a Woman, with whom he continues the road. Featuring Vanessa Paradis of France, Andrzej Chyra of Poland and Lithuania’s Mantas Jančiauskas, the movie is a joint product of Lithuania, Ukraine, France and Poland.
