According to data from the Center for Communicable Diseases and AIDS, the local authorities of the city of Kaunas and the districts of Jonava and Varena declared a flu epidemic last week, followed by the districts of Prienai, Svencionys and Zarasai on Monday and by the city of Panevezys and the district of Kedainiai on Tuesday.
Lithuania’s overall flu and URTI incidence rate last week reached 123.5 per 10,000 population, up from 79.2 in the same period last year.
