Diplomat Giedrius Apuokas should be appointed as Lithuania’s new diplomatic envoy to Estonia as of August 7, while the country’s new Ambassador to Canada Darius Pranckevičius should take office on August 14 and Ambassador to Norway Jonas Paslauskas on September 26.
Renatas Norkus should become Lithuania’s new ambassador to the United Kingdom on August 18.
In Lithuania, ambassadors are appointed by the president after approval from the government and the parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committee.
