Lithuania considers closing embassy in Belgium

“We are considering the possibility of closing the Embassy to Belgium, as in Belgium we have representatives to the European Union and NATO,” Juodka told a news conference.

The Lithuanian Embassy inBelgium was opened in 1991, the country also has honorary consulates in Antwerp and Ghent.

Furthermore, Belgium has announced its plans to close its embassy in Vilnius and other 17 diplomatic missions and consular offices in other countries in an effort to save funds.
