Lithuania expects to join OECD next year – finance minister

“We expect that Lithuania will receive an invitation to join the organization as early as next year,” he said in a press release after meeting with representatives the OECD’s political mission on Friday to discuss a review of the Lithuanian economy that is currently being prepared by the organization.

The review, which is necessary for joining the organization, will be discussed at the OECD Economic and Development Review Committee next spring.

Lithuania was invited to launch the OECD accession process in June 2015.
