The consulate is headed by businessman Carlos Alberto Lorenzo Ibanez, whose consular jurisdiction will cover the entire autonomous community of the Canary Islands.

“The Lithuanian honorary consulate in Tenerife is another bridge connecting the people of Lithuania and Spain,” Skaistė Anilinė, Lithuania’s ambassador to Spain, said.

“I am confident that the Lithuanian honorary consul’s activities will contribute to the development of economic and cultural ties between our countries,” she said.

This is Lithuania’s fourth honorary consulate in Spain. Lithuania also has honorary consuls for Galicia, the Basque Country, and Castilla-La Mancha and Murcia.
