In the event, 25 toddlers squared off for the title of Lithuania’s fastest toddler. The honour went to 10-month-old Kamilis Dambrauskas, who covered five meters in a break-neck 11-second time.
In the race, mothers had to lure their children to the finish line with whatever means they could. Irena, Kamilis’ mother, said “we trained a lot at home. We looked for what he reacts to best, and decided to use jangling keys to lure him.”
Some babies, overwhelmed by the commotion of the event, refused to start, while others decided to take a break right before the finish line.
