The recruit died of acute infection, according to preliminary information shared by the Lithuanian Ministry of National Defence.
Born in 1995, the soldier joined the Lithuanian Armed Forces on April 4 and served in the Training Detachment of Lithuanian Etmon Jonusas Radvila in Rukla.
He had no health complaints in the past weeks, the ministry said.
