At the meeting, which was initially scheduled for an earlier date, Butkevičius and Pavalkis should discuss the Labour Party‘s call for Pavalkis to step down.
“As the minister is away and the prime minister is scheduled to visit Klaipėda tomorrow and will have no time, the current plan is that the meeting will take place on Wednesday,” the prime minister’s spokeswoman Evelina Butkutė-Lazdauskienė told BNS on Monday.
On Sunday, the Labour Party’s council decided to recall Pavalkis from the government due to what it said was his failure to implement the party’s program.
