The doctor said Adamkienė had recently recovered from a virus, therefore, the current condition could be a result of the disease.
“Her condition deteriorated on Saturday, I was then called to the emergency unit because of major sluggishness, she was weak and had no energy. The vital functions were normal but we took her to Santariškės (clinic). We carried out all the tests, looked at short-term interruptions of blood flow but have not found any threatening things,” she added.
In her words, it is more difficult for elderly people to overcome oven ordinary cold infections. Adamkiene is currently 90. Marcijonienė could not specify how long the former first lady would stay in hospital.
