
In her words, the Cabinet should work out an integrated programme sooner.
“The government should have a systematic an integrated programme with clear instruments – not decrees, decree numbers, as the prime minister presented yesterday, the phase is long tone, we should be having an integrated programme by now. Every head of municipality where the people should be integrated should also have a programme, which should be discussed with the council. This is definitely not the case yet and it is a bad thing, we are just behind,” Graužinienė told the Žinių Radijas news radio on Wednesday morning.
In her words, “the government should start moving at a very fast pace,” as today’s readiness would not allow hosting “even half of the number discussed today, i. e., the Lithuanian quota”.
Under European Commission schemes, Lithuania should receive 1,105 refugees over two years, a proposal already approved by the government.
