Lithuanian PM to attend Asia-Europe summit

“The format is turning 20 years and will this year bring together officials of 21 Asian countries and 30 European countries,” the prime minister’s spokeswoman Evelina Butkute-Lazdauskiene said.

The ASEM summit in Mongolia is due to discuss efforts to boost cooperation between European and Asian countries said Butkute-Lazdauskiene.

Butkevicius will present perspectives on developing transport and communications between the Baltic region and Asia, accentuating the increase of women’s role in all fields of life.

Butkevicius will be in Ulaanbaatar on Thursday through Saturday.
