Lithuanian Roma integration project begins

The project will attempt to draw the municipal government into the Roma community’s integration process. The project has begun in five municipalities that have the largest Roma communities: Vilnius, Šalčininkai region, Panėvėžys, Šiauliai and Marijampolė.

During the last Lithuanian census, the country had more than 2,000 people of the Roma ethnicity in Lithuania, moth of whom can be found in the Vilnius region.
