Dovilė Skabickaitė, public relations assistant to the head of the port, told BNS that DFDS boats Optima and Athena along with a container ship were allowed to leave the port. In her words, wind speeds have fallen to 13-15 m/s.

She said six ships are still awaiting entry into the port including two tankers and four bulk carriers, with two tow boats still on duty next to Independence, the floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU).
