Lithuanian Seimas to sit 3 days a week to expedite labour code reform

The Seimas board made the decision on Wednesday.

“We will work on six Fridays in a row – three in May and three in June,” Deputy Seimas Speaker Algirdas Sysas told BNS.

The Seimas usually holds plenary sittings on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

The parliament has so far discussed 143 out of 256 articles of the social model package aimed at liberalizing labour relations and revamping the country’s social insurance system, Sodra.
