In the latest ATP rankings announced on Monday, Berankis rose to the 54th spot, the highest ranking in the 25-year-old’s career.

Berankis was ranked 62nd last week. His previous high-point was the 67th spot in the ATP rankings in 2013.

The Lithuanian won the final singles match at TAC CUP China International Nanjing Challenger last weekend, beating 29-year-old Slovenian Grega Žemlja in two sets 6:3, 6:4.

In order to qualify for the Rio Olympics, Berankis has to stay above 70-75th place in the ATP rankings until June 6. The tennis association will be revising the ranking five times until then.

Laurynas Grigelis, 24, rose to the 351st spot from the 363rd and Lukas Mugevičius, 21, ranks 838th.
