Lithuanians invited to take part in natl, regional park cleanup

The organizers of the traditional spring cleanup Darom (Let’s do it) say the biggest cleanup initiative in human history – World Cleanup Day – will take place on Sep. 15, and Lithuanians are being invited to take part in cleaning 35 national and regional parks on that days.

“It’s a global initiative and the whole world will be cleaning as over 150 countries will take part. Cleanups will be held all over the world. The action will be special in Lithuania because we will be cleaning regional and national parks,” Viktorija Diskaitė, a representative for the organizers, told BNS Lithuania.

All willing to participate are now being registered, she added.
