Lithuania’s army needs additional 220 civilian positions

All of the civilians would be contractual employees, the Defence Ministry said.

The new employees are needed to perform medical check-ups of the mandatory initial service, selection and conscription procedures, catering, support and procurement procedures, as well as other functions.

The NATO integration unit, which is under establishment in Lithuania, will also need several civilian positions, namely, a translator and an infrastructure specialist.
