Lithuania’s GDP up 1.5 percent in Q1

In the fourth quarter of 2014, GDP grew by 0.3 percent in the euro area and by 0.4 percent in the EU.

Compared with the same quarter of the previous year, seasonally adjusted GDP rose by 1.0 percent in the euro area and by 1.4 percent in the EU in the first quarter of 2015, after +0.9 percent and +1.3 percent respectively in the previous quarter. During the first quarter of 2015, GDP in the United States increased by 0.1 percent compared with the previous quarter (after +0.5 percent in the fourth quarter of 2014). Compared with the same quarter of the previous year, GDP grew by 3.0 percent (after +2.4 percent in the previous quarter).

In the first quarter of 2015 compared with the fourth quarter of 2014 Lithuania’s GDP decreased by 0.6 percent. Meanwhile in the first quarter of 2015 compared with the first quarter of 2014 Lithuania’s GDP grew by 1.5 percent.
