Lithuania’s Labour Party seeks 56 mayoral posts

The party will also take part in the local council elections in 58 municipalities and expects to increase their number of council members to 300.

In the last municipal elections, the Labour Party’s candidates won 156 seats. Currently, the party’s members work in 55 local councils, while the Labour Party’s mayors head three municipalities.

Jonas Pinskus was confirmed as the party’s candidate to the Vilnius city mayor post, Vydas Gedvilas – Kaunas city, Ivanas Romanovas – Klaipėda city, Danguolė Martinkienė – Šiauliai city and Petras Narkevičius – Panevėžys city.
