Lithuania’s LiTak-Tak fails to get exports license following VSD info

Aušra Ramoškaitė, spokeswoman for the Ministry of Economy, told BNS Lithuania LiTak-Tak had sought a license for dual use goods, meaning that they can be used for both civilian and military needs.

“The Ministry of Economy decided against issuing an exports license for dual use goods to JST LiTak-Tak based on information provided by the State Security Department of the Republic of Lithuania,” Ramoskaite told BNS Lithuania.

She could not disclose information on the good the Lithuanian company wanted to export and specific countries as it might constitute the company’s commercial secret.

LiTak-Tak refused to allow publishing this information and refused to respond to BNS Lithuania’s request for comment. The VSD also refrained from commenting on the decision.

Earlier this month, Vilnius Regional Administrative Court rejected LiTak-Tak’s appeal against the ministry’s decision, which ca still be appealed over a month.
