Under the decree of April 29, Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili awarded Lithuanian Ambassador Jonas Paslauskas for his merits to strengthening the Lithuanian-Georgian friendship.
The decoration was presented by Georgian Foreign Minister Tamara Beruchashvili. She noted that the ambassador was, first of all, awarded for his personal contribution to strengthening friendly relations between the Lithuanian and Georgian nations, for his energy and love for Georgia.
Beruchashvili also thanked Paslauskas for his constant support of Georgia’s path towards the European family and also advice on necessary key reforms in the country.
Paslauskas is the first ambassador awarded by the incumbent Georgian president.
