Locarno film festival to screen first Lithuanian film in 20 years

Lithuania will be making a return with Triukšmadarys, a debut film by director Karolis Kaupinis who will participate in the international competitive programme Pardi di Domani.

Every year, the short and medium-length programme features more than 20 films from all around the world. This year the short film programme includes 26 films from 20 countries.

Locarno International Film Festival is one of the oldest and most prestigious cinema events in Europe, on a par with other A class festivals like Cannes or Berlin.

The festival will take place in Locarno, Switzerland, on 6-16 August.
