Twelve MPs out of 17 who were competing for a mayor’s post have already finished their electoral battles, while the remaining 5 MPs made it to the second round; 3 of them are leading in their municipalities. Among them – MP Remigijus Šimašius from the Liberal Movement who is leading in Vilnius, MP Audronė Pitrėnienė (the Labour Party) in Skuodas district, and MP Algis Kašėta (the Liberal Movement) in Varėna district.
