Despite a Lithuanian judge’s ruling yesterday to reject Lithuanian prosecutors’ application to further detain Kurlianskis for two months, the prosecutor in charge of the investigation has put the business executive under house arrest and had him sign a written undertaking not to leave his place of residence.

The businessman was also been given a list of persons he is banned from communicating with and was made to post bail €25,000.

“The measures are €25,000 bail, house arrest, an undertaking not to leave and a ban on meeting with the listed persons,” said Elena Martinoniene, spokeswoman for the Prosecutor General’s Office.
