National agreement on necessary reforms to be signed in Lithuania

The agreement will cover five areas and objectives. The document will speak about improving efficiency of the public sector and the quality of services, enhancing social dialogue, promotion of quality of science and education and life-long learning, ensuring compatibility and stability of the tax system and upgrading of the country’s competitiveness, the prime minister’s adviser Lukas Savickas told BNS.

The document should be signed by Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis, the biggest business associations and trade unions.

The agreement also envisages establishment of a special council to follow up on the implementation of the document.
