Pedestrian and bicycle traffic will be banned on Skirpos Avenue along the River Vilnia.

Pedestrians and cyclists are advised to choose Sventaragio and Vrublevskio streets.

Concerns over Gediminas Hill, which is a symbol of Lithuania, heightened after the large landslides on the northwestern slope last year and this year.

The Vilnius municipality had even declared an emergency situation over the condition of the hill in central part of the Lithuanian capital.

Archaeological tests on the Gediminas Hill this year revealed remains, which have almost been confirmed to have belonged to the most prominent leaders of the 1863 uprising against the tsarist Russia, Zigmantas Sierakauskas and Konstantinas Kalinauskas.
