The foreign was imposed the administrative penalty, half of the minimum fine, Klaipeda police said. Lithuanian laws envisage a fine of 150-300 euros for demonstration of Nazi and Soviet symbols.
The man was detained at about 3 p.m. (local time) with his two friends, all in a drunken condition. The police found him wearing a red T-shirt with a Soviet five-pointed star, a hammer and a sickle with letters SSRS (Lithuanian acronym for the Soviet Union).
The man was taken into custody and identified as a 34-year-old citizen of Latvia.
