President, PM and interior minister among most popular politicians in Lithuania

Grybauskaite was specified as the most valued politician by 60.2 percent of respondents (62.3 pct in February), while Butkevicius was referred to by 54.7 percent of those polled (57.2 pct last month).

The public support to Skvernelis, the former police chief, went up by nearly 5 percentage points to 44.5 percent in March from 40.7 percentage points in February.

The list of most favored public figures is continued by Eligijus Masiulis, the leader of the Liberal Movement that did well in the recent elections to local governments. According to the poll, Masiulis is favored 42.1 percent of those polled, up from 36.1 percent month-on-month.

Other valued figures include Foreign Minister Linas Linkevicius (35 pct in March and 34.9 pct in February) and Defense Minister Juozas Olekas (32.7 pct in March and 34.2 pct in February).

Grybauskaite and Butkevicius were also specified as the best respondents of the nation’s interests: Grybauskaite was specified by 24 percent of respondents, while Butkevicius by 12.2 percent.

On the list, they are followed by the Order and Justice party’s leader MEP Rolandas Paksas (4.5 pct) and Masiulis (3.5 pct).

The survey was carried out by Vilmorus public opinion and market research center on March 6-15.
