The last such meeting took place before Skvernelis’ two-week summer vacation in July, the president’s spokeswoman told BNS.
Relations between the president and prime minister have been tense recently. Grybauskaitė in late June accused the government of “political arrogance” and Skvernelis said in response that the president was criticizing but “doing basically nothing”.
Such working meetings between the president and the prime minister would normally take place at the Presidential Palace every two weeks. There would be no public comment on the contents of these meetings.
