Price inflation in Lithuania remains low

It was mainly influenced by an increase in prices for package holidays, passenger air transport services, non-electric appliances, articles and products for personal care, waste collection services, fruit, pharmaceuticals, as well as by a decrease in prices for heat energy, footwear, vegetables, beer, fuels and lubricants.

In the period discussed, prices for consumer goods decreased by 0.3 percent, while prices for services increased by 1 percent. Prices for services grew for the third month in a row.

Annual inflation in June 2014, compared to June 2013, was 1 percentage point lower and stood at 0.2 percent.

Per year prices for consumer goods decreased by 0.1 percent, while prices for services increased by 0.9 percent.

In June 2014, the average annual inflation stood at 0.3 percent and was 2.1 percentage points lower compared to June 2013.
