Rail Baltica gets €200m EU funding

The vast majority of the funding for preparations for the line will go to Lithuania in this second round.

The total amount of support sought by Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania and the three countries’ joint venture RB Rail is €238 million of which the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) was expected to provide €202 million.

The European Commission announced 195 transport projects across Euope that are to get a total of €6.7 billion from CEF.
