“The vote did not come as a surprise – clearly, this Seimas is also lacking the political will to fight corruption. By ignoring the recommendations from the Special Investigation Service, the National Commission for Energy Control and Prices, the Competition Service and the Public Procurement Service, as well as the State Audit Office to discard internal deals as one of the most non-transparent form of acquisition, the parliamentarians are leaving an open gap for corruption in municipalities,” Grybauskaitė said in a comment communicated to the media by her press service.
