On Thursday, lawmakers adopted a law that increased the tariff to 132.5 euros starting next year, which is an increase by 2 euros from the current level.
According to data provided by he Finance Ministry, the move to raise the basic tariff by 1 euro will require over 21 million euros from the state budget.
Currently, the basic tariff is 130.5 euros, and has not changed since the 2009 crisis, which cut it from the earlier level of 141.9 euros.
