An ad-hoc parliamentary commission has recommended granting Prosecutor General Evaldas Pašilis‘ request to lift Pūkas’ immunity.
At least 71 votes in the 141-member Seimas are needed for stripping a parliamentarian of his or her immunity from prosecution.
Prosecutors say that four women’s testimonies and information gathered as part of the pre-trial investigation provide reasonable grounds to suspect that Pūkas between January and February 2017 sexually harassed persons subordinate to him.
