Some EUR 0.5 b litas remain unexchanged for euros – Lithuanian c. bank

Around 11 tons of litas notes and about 1,593 tons of litas coins have not yet returned to the Bank of Lithuania.

The unchanged cash includes over 336.3 million litas worth of notes, accounting for 6 percent of those in circulation three years ago, and around 114.5 million litas worth of coins, or 58 percent.
