
Inflation picked up in Lithuania this year, with prices this April growing 0.5% compared to March and 1% compared to April last year.
Services in the country appreciated at a faster pace than consumer goods, according to the report by Statistics Lithuania. Eating out was 6.6% more expensive last April than one year before, while servicing vehicles got 7.3% more expensive.
On the other hand, Lithuanians now pay on average 8.9% less for air travel.
Food prices inflated 1.5% month-on-month and 1.6% compared to last year, according to Statistics Lithuania.
