The exposition tells visitors about challenges faced by Sweden in reaching the UN sustainable development goals by 2030, including eradicating poverty, reducing inequalities and achieving gender equality, quality education and clean energy.

The princess congratulated Lithuania on the centennial of the restoration of the state during the event at the Swedish Embassy’s residence and said that everybody should be concerned about climate change, especially about the Baltic Sea, one of the most polluted seas in the world.

“We are in extremely severe situation,” she said. “When I say that, I mean the Earth, the way we actually consume, the way we put strain on our environment.”

This is the first visit by Crown Princess Victoria to Lithuania.
