The head of state signed the relevant decree on Monday, taking into consideration the approval from the Judicial Council and the Seimas (parliament).
The judges will commence their new duties starting 19 January, upon dismissal from Vilnius County Court on 18 January.
In a secret ballot, the Seimas approved the three judges put forward by Grybauskaitė.
