The Ministry of National Defence said that the flight on OC-135B aircraft will be performed from the Lithuanian Air Force Aviation Base in Šiauliai, northern Lithuania. The flight will also involve Canadian and Lithuanian arms control specialists.

“Lithuanian officers also participate in this this type of flights in neighbouring countries and other foreign states, therefore, such training carries dual benefits for our personnel, which learns to host inspection missions and to perform them,” says Lieutenant Colonel Linas Kubilius, the chief of the Lithuanian Army’s Arms Control Division.

US arms control specialists will be in Lithuania on 4-6 February.
