The prime minister said that when such companies choose to establish offices in Lithuania, it provides the country with many benefits. The company will create 200 jobs for highly qualified specialists and bring its vast experience in the international health care market.
The prime minister emphasised that Lithuania was a strong competitor in the investment market due to its geographic location, qualified workforce, attention to the co-operation between science and business, as well as the development of innovation.
Butkevičius said that Lithuania surpasses other countries of the region not only in the number of foreign capital projects but also in the number of jobs created. In the first half of 2014 the number of implemented investment projects increased by a fourth in Lithuania, while Central and Eastern Europe saw a decrease.
The company is planning further expansion and active co-operation with educational institutions in Lithuania.
