Held on Feb. 22-25, the 19 th Vilnius Book Fair will carry a slogan I Read Lithuania – I Read the World, with over 370 participants and more than 560 events to be held during the event.

In addition to authors from Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Poland, Germany, Belarus, Russia, Ukraine and Spain, the Vilnius Book Fair will feature poets from Oman and Iran, with a focus on the countries celebrating 100 years of restored statehood.

“We realize we want to celebrate with others, to remember our closest neighbors in the region who are also celebrating anniversaries of their restored statehood this year, we want to take the opportunity to invite them to be together, as we often realize that we know too little about our neighbors and colleagues,” Aušrinė Žilinskienė, director of the Lithuanian Culture Institute, said at the presentation of the fair.

Guests with tickets bought in advance will be able to buy Eurolines and Toks bus tickets to Vilnius with a 30 percent discount.
