“Fifty-two troops have already arrived,” Captain Andrius Dilda, public relations officer for the Lithuanian Land Forces, told BNS.
The ship with the equipment, mainly Piranha armored fighting vehicles, is due to arrive in the Lithuanian port city of Klaipėda on Tuesday evening, with unloading planned for Wednesday.
The 270 troops should land at Palanga airport on Thursday.
The combat group will take part in the Baltic Piranha war games in October.
