65 schools in Vilnius to be repaired this year

The Ministry of Education also contributed to modernisation and refurbishment of schools with additional LTL 5.4 million (EUR 1.6 million), while international EU funds allocated about LTL 5.8 million (EUR 1.7 million).

This year, 12 educational institutions plan to sign refurbishment contracts with the Ministry of Environment.

Sixteen kindergarten-nurseries participate in this year’s building refurbishment programme. Vilnius city municipality allocated LTL 3.8 million (EUR 1.1 million) for refurbishment works like roof repairs, bathroom repairs and installation of new windows.

Forty educational institutions are implementing a programme establishing pre-school and primary education groups. The municipality has allocated LTL 3 million (EUR 0.8 million) for the programme.
