Conservatives confirm candidate roster for October’s elections

Sixty-seven conservative candidates were confirmed during the party’s council meeting on Saturday, spokeswoman Ugnė Naujokaitytė has said. A decision on four more candidates is expected after the council’s next meeting.

The conservatives currently hold 32 seats in Lithuania’s 141-seat parliament, the Seimas.

The party’s leader, Gabrielius Landsbergis, will run for a parliament seat in Kaunas, Lithuania’s second biggest city and the conservative stronghold.

The following candidates are to run for parliament in single-member constituencies:

Vilnius: Vilija Aleknaitė Abramikienė, Vytautas Kernagis, Dainius Kreivys, Aistė Gedvilienė;

Kaunas: Gabrielius Landsbergis, Juozas Pundzius;

Klaipėda: Rimantas Didžiokas, Andrius Petraitis, Arūnas Barbšys;

Šiauliai: Martynas Šiurkus, Tomas Petreikis;

Panevėžys: Radvilė Morkūnaitė-Mikulėnienė, Arvydas Anušauskas, Rasa Juknevičienė.

Other candidates include: Vaidotas Bacevičius, Gediminas Anužis, Alfreda Tamoševičienė, Andrius Navickas, Giedrė Čepaitienė, Julius Dautartas, Saulius Šilinis, Valentinas Stundys, Vaidas Šalaševičius, Vidas Urbonavičius, Agnė Balčiūnienė, Valdas Aleknavičius, Donatas Jankauskas, Vytautas Judickas, Juozas Galdikas.
