The inspirers of the event, renowned Lithuanian chef Deivydas Praspaliauskas and artistic director of Vilnius City Opera Dalia Ibelhauptaitė, promise an impressive programme, a great menu and memorable prizes.
The guest of honour of the Charity Dinner will be Ambassador Vygaudas Ušackas, head of the EU Delegation to Russia, who will arrive especially for the event. The funds collected during the evening will be allocated to supporting the Children’s Oncochematology Department of Vilnius University Hospital Santariškių Klinikos. Hospital beds, which the department is short of at the moment, will be purchased – they would facilitate in the improvement of comfort of children who are seriously ill.
Solists like Edgaras Montvidas, Asmik Grigorian, Jurgita Adamonytė, Justina Gringytė will perform during the evening, and the surprise of the evening will be Andrius Mamontovas. The hosts of the event are Beata Nicholson and Dexter Fletcher. Prizes supplied by British star chef Jamie Oliver will be offered in the auction.
Everything will be like six years ago in London, when the same team collected LTL 250 000 in one evening, the organizers say: “We hope we will succeed to help this time too – 37 hospital beds are needed.”
