Finnish steel giant to open a service centre in Vilnius

The global stainless steel market leader Finnish company Outokumpu is to open a multi-service centre in Vilnius.

The company said it decided to open a service center in Lithuania to optimize operating costs and standardize processes. The multi-service center in Vilnius will focus on the company’s financial, procurement, data management and information technology functions. Most of the work will be conducted in English, but it is planned to recruit Scandinavian language and ​​multilingual specialists.

Outokumpu said it chose Lithuania because of the excellent service center infrastructure and competent professionals able to speak in several foreign languages.

Outokumpu owns factories in Finland, Germany, Mexico, Sweden, the United Kingdom and the United States.

The company has sales branches and service centers in almost 30 countries around the world, the company employs about 11,000 employees.

The company that has provided stainless steel products to build the third World Trade Center skyscraper in New York and the construction of Sagrada Familia Basilica in Barcelona.
